Dear Cowell Supporter,
Three weeks to go to Election Day and thanks to your
efforts, things are looking great for Janet Cowell
becoming our next State Senator. Her record, her energy
and commitment will get results for us. With that said,
we cannot rest.
This district is only a little more Democratic than
the District that Senator Reeves won two years ago
by a mere 426 votes, less than 1%. It is also important
that Janet does well to exceed expectations, and let
any future challengers know that it will be an uphill
battle for them to take Janet on. Therefore we are
running an aggressive campaign.
There are extensive grassroots efforts going on including
yard signs, canvassing and phone calls. This has always
been a major part of Janet’s campaigns and a
big key to her success.
The biggest obstacle we have faced is that the majority
of the District still does not know Janet. When they
learn about her, they love her as we do. That is why
the State Party has undertaken an extensive mail program.
To meet our obligations to fund this aggressive campaign,
we need $20,000 more by the end of October.
As you know, Janet comes from modest means. We do not
want her to go into debt to meet these obligations.
To meet this goal, we are conducting an “online” fundraiser.
We know you all have done so much, and there are
many competing interests, but we are asking that you
help again to ensure that we come out strong and debt
free. You may contribute online at janetcowell.com or
you may send a check in the mail to “Cowell for
Senate, 301 Gary St., Raleigh, NC 27606”
Thanks again so much for your assistance. Let’s
stretch for the tape and win big on Nov. 2.
Respectfully,
