Dear Supporters:
Thank you for your generous support during our 2004
Campaign for election to the NC Senate- District 16.
We received almost 60% of the vote - a sure and solid
win. I look forward to joining the honorable individuals
who make up the NC State Senate and working toward
building a healthy and vibrant North Carolina.
Since winning the primary with just under 50% of
the vote in July, I have kept up a challenging calendar
and have visited many candidate forums, meet the candidate
receptions, as well as many personal meet and greets.
I have spoken to so many wonderful constituents and
have listened to your issues, question, and concerns.
Issues, questions and concerns that I look forward
to addressing in the NC Senate, while actively working
toward realizing the vision laid out in our campaign
platform.
To all my supporters, my sincerest thanks. Without
your contribution of time, money, and positive, progressive
energy we would not have been able to run such a successful
and strong campaign. On election day, we amassed over
50 poll workers at our high priority precincts. We
placed over 1200 signs at your houses and your places
of business. We wrote hundreds of postcards to unaffiliated
voters. We knocked on thousands of doors and asked
folks for their vote. Thank you for everything you
contributed to the success of this campaign.
For you support I am grateful and eagerly look forward
to working for you in the North Carolina Senate.
